One-Day Dental Implants

Plainfield Dental Care is proud to be among the few centers in Chicagoland to offer the innovative new implant technique called Teeth in a Day Dental Implant Procedure. This procedure replaces missing or non-functional teeth in just one day with natural-looking implants that will give you back your smile. Designed for patients suffering from uncomfortable and painful dentures and those living with unsightly partial bridges, Teeth in a Day is an FDA-accepted, clinically proven treatment that will have you looking and feeling your very best in only a matter of hours.

How Does It Work?

Patients qualified for Teeth in a Day will receive four dental implants and a full set of new replacement teeth per arch in just a few appointments. The Teeth in a Day implants can be immediately loaded, instead of waiting months to heal. The fixed provisional bridge can be completed within a day. This is one of the most exciting options in implant dentistry because the goal of most patients who wear dentures is to be able to go back to their former lifestyle as quickly as possible.

Single-Tooth Implant vs. Bridge

A dental implant provides several advantages over other tooth replacement options. In addition to looking and functioning like a natural tooth, a dental implant replaces a single tooth without sacrificing the health of neighboring teeth. The other common treatment for the loss of a single tooth, a tooth-supported fixed bridge, requires that adjacent teeth be ground down to support the cemented bridge.

Because a dental implant will replace your tooth root, the bone is better preserved. With a bridge, some of the bone that previously surrounded the tooth begins to resorb (deteriorate). Dental implants integrate with your jawbone, helping to keep the bone healthy and intact.

In the long term, a single implant can be more natural looking and easier to keep clean than a bridge. Gums can recede around a bridge, leaving a visible defect when the metal base or collar of the bridge becomes exposed. Resorbed bone beneath the bridge can lead to an unattractive smile. And, the cement holding the bridge in place can wash out, allowing bacteria to decay the teeth that anchor the bridge.

The Benefits of Teeth In a Day

The major advantage to the Teeth in a Day Dental Implant Procedure is how quickly dentures can be replaced with permanent implants and fixed, non-removable, new replacement teeth. Plainfield Dental Care is a leader in delivering the life-changing AO4 procedure for those patients who are “dentally exhausted.” Unlike other approaches that can use six, eight, or even more implants per arch and often involve bone grafting, Plainfield Dental Care uses this proven technique that requires only four specially-placed implants, usually without bone grafts or other ancillary surgical procedures, meaning lower costs and reduced healing time. The success rate of AO4 is superior to more traditional approaches and is designed to last a lifetime.

The result is a solid base to attach your new teeth to, which does not have to be removed. The procedure saves time and money, recaptures a youthful smile, restores normal function, and can enhance your quality of life.
